The 2013 National Hot Dog and Sausage Council Hot Dog Idol Contest
Sing a Hot Dog Song to win $250 to build the perfect summer picnic
Cue the Music, Get your Voices Ready, and Your Condiments Out for Inspiration….This is Hot Dog Idol! The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC) is celebrating National Hot Dog Month by calling on hot dog fans across America to sing a hot dog song. Songs can be original or you can change the lyrics to your favorite song, but the goal is the same: sing to profess your love of hot dogs. Submit your song to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on July 18, 2013. Songs may be submitted in video or audio formats. In your submission email, please provide your name, phone number and address.
How winners will be
A panel of judges from the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council will review submissions and select finalists. Finalists will be chosen based on creativity…not just singing talent. The finalists will be uploaded to the National Hot Dog Council Facebook fan page at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on July 19, 2013.
One grand prize and two runner-up prizes will be awarded. The grand prizes and runner-up prizes will be awarded for the songs that receive the most votes between 10 a.m. on July 19 and 10 a.m. Eastern Time July 23.
Winners will be notified by email and will have 30 days from notification to claim their prizes.
The grand prize winner will receive a $250 gift certificate to the grocery store of their choosing to build the perfect summer picnic.
First runner-up will receive a $100 gift certificate to the grocery store of their choosing, and second runner-up will receive a $50 gift card to the grocery store of their choosing. All top three vote-getters will receive complimentary Council T-shirts.
A national announcement of the winners will be made on National Hot Dog Day July 17, 2013.
