Home Run Forecast for Peak Hot Dog Season
Major League Baseball Lovers Will Eat Enough Dogs to Stretch Coast to Coast

Washington D.C., March 30, 2006 – Americans are expected to consume enough hot dogs in
major league ballparks to stretch coast to coast, according to the National Hot Dog & Sausage
Council.

Despite stiff competition from other foods on ballpark menus, the wiener remains ‘top dog’ at
stadiums. The Council estimates that baseball fans at MLB stadiums across the country will
consume enough hot dogs from Opening Day until the final game of the World Series to lie end
to end from Robert F. Kennedy Stadium in Washington, D.C. to AT&T Park in San Francisco –
that’s more 2800 miles of hot dogs.
